[...] Pordenone Blues Festival: Over 30 Years of Great Music
Founded in 1991, the Pordenone The Blues Festival has given the city an internationally recognized artistic profile. The 2026 edition of the festival continues to be one of the most anticipated events on the summer calendar, with a program that spans genres and generations.July 10th will be the Earth, Wind & Fire Experience, a collective led by legendary guitarist and Grammy winner Al McKay, a key member of Earth, Wind & Fire in their golden period (1973–1981) and co-writer of anthems such as September, for an evening that spans world-class pop, funk and jazz.
July 11th is a double-whammy night: Goran Bregović and his Wedding and Funeral Band bring their unmistakable fusion of Balkan sounds, sacred polyphony, folklore, and rock to the stage, joined by Roy Paci & Aretuska with an explosive show that blends new moombahton, Sicilian, and Latin roots music to keep the audience moving until the very last note.
The only date in the Tri-Veneto area of the Dogstar, the Californian trio of Keanu Reeves, Bret Domrose and Rob Mailhouse, return after more than twenty years with the new album Somewhere Between The Power Lines And Palm Trees. With them the The Damn Truth, pure 70s rock energy, and opening with the young guitar virtuoso Frano Livingston, already on 400 stages in 14 countries alongside Norah Jones, Al Di Meola and Tommy Emmanuel.
On July 17th the Subsonica celebrate thirty years of career with the TERRE RARE 96-26 tour, bringing to Pordenone The energy of their eleventh studio album. Opening the concert were El Partydo, the new project from the members of Lo Stato Sociale, with their recently released debut EP.
July 26th is the night of neoclassical metal with Yngwie Malmsteen, an absolute pioneer of the genre that blends rock fury with the technical perfection of Bach and Paganini, is a special stop on a monumental world tour. The lineup also features a surprise special guest.
On July 27th Skunk Anansie, thirty years of career and an unmistakable sound that blends metal, psychedelia and soul, bring to the Park San Valentino all their power. Opening the evening was Grove, producer and vocalist from Bristol's new underground scene, with his militant bass music and radical artistic vision.
The Blues Festival chapter closes on September 3rd with an event of international appeal: the Judas Priest, heavy metal institution with over 50 million records sold, lead to Pordenone the only date in the Northeast of the Faithkeepers Tour.
