Tony Coleman Band

From the age of four, Tony Coleman began to love the drums and his first show was at the age of sixteen together with a fourteen-piece band which even included another drummer and a percussionist.
Born in Florida, he moved from Orlando to Chicago in 1978 to pursue his dream: becoming a world-class drummer.
The first opportunity for a tour was offered to him by Otis Clay, with whom he recorded his first and most important album. After an exhilarating blues tour in the United States in 1978, playing drums for Otis Clay and OV Wright, Tony took part in other important tours with some of the major Blues and R&B artists in the world such as Johnnie Taylor, Albert King, Bobby Blue Band, His Majesty BB King and the King of Funk James Brown.
In 1998 Tony Coleman was voted best Blues and R&B drummer by the music magazine “Drum” and has been nominated many times by “Modern Drummer” magazine.
Mr. Coleman has recorded with B.B. King for more than a decade, traveling more than 250 days a year and playing in 88 countries around the world.
His latest CD entitled "Travelin Man" was recently released, which he will also perform on his first Italian tour with a grandiose and explosive funk/blues band.
