The “Original” Blues Brothers Band
IN CONCERT
EVEN IN CASE OF RAIN
The Mission Continues! Let's talk about the real, Original Blues Brothers Band, an invincible blues, soul and r&b machine. Some members of the band did not only make history in the films The Blues Brothers and Blues Brothers 2000. “Colonel” Steve Cropper worked on Otis Redding's immortal singles such as Respect or Dock Of The Bay; with Wilson Pickett on In The Midnight Hour; for Sam and Dave (Hold On, I'm Comin' and Soul Man). Lou “Blue Lou” Marini comes from the legendary “Saturday Night Live”, where in 1975 John Belushi, actor of the show, heard him in the horn section playing with Joe Cocker, Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin. Among them we find characters such as guitarist John Tropea, who played with calibers such as Van Morrison and Billy Cobham. Since the year it reunited, 1988, the Band has achieved nothing but successes. In the prestigious Olympia in Paris, for the first time in the history of the theatre, the chairs were removed to make the spectators dance. They also continued to record with Dan Aykroyd, aka “Elwood Blues,” BB King, Eric Clapton, James Brown and many others.
