The gentle giant of the blues, a gritty guitarist in the style of T-Bone Walker and BB King, already winner of a prestigious WC Handy Award, in March '07 was indicated by Guitar Magazine among the Top 10 English guitarists of all time, together with Peter Green and Eric Clapton. Over the years Otis Grand has collected several awards: the extraordinary victory of the Best Foreign Blues Album at the WC Handy Blues Award in Memphis in 1992 for the album My Way or the Highway together with Guitar Shorty, followed in 2003 by nominations for Best Blues Album for He Knows the Blues and for Best Instrumentalist; twice, in 1990 and 1996, he won the title of UK Blues Guitarist of the Year.
But great recognition was not long in coming from France and Spain: Soulbag Magazine (France) in 1997 awarded him the Golden Awards Winner – Best Blues Guitar CD for Perfume & Grime, and the Andalucia Blues Association (Spain) consecrated him with the Blues Performer Award at the Cazorla Blues Festival in 2004.
Otis tours incessantly, giving his audiences intense and true performances every night, and the audiences have repaid him by awarding him the status of “number one” in Europe.

A life dedicated to music, but not only: he had the opportunity to act in the first versions of the historical musicals Jesus Christ Superstar and Tommy, also standing out in the world of cinema alongside the greatest English actors. Also important was his collaboration with Andy Warhol. He became part of the court of David Bowie and Bob Dylan.
Thus he spent a few years that he now describes as “pure madness”.
By the end of this period, Dana decided that the blues field offered greater opportunities for a singer no longer in her teens.
Thus began her very successful career as a blueswoman, which earned her the full title of “Queen of British Blues”.
Over the years Dana Gillespie became one of the most appreciated singers in Europe, one of the few called to tour also in America.
Al Pordenone Blues Festival will be accompanied by the musicians she regularly works with: the Viennese pianist Joachim Palden and the drummer Sabine Pyrker. Her charismatic presence on stage will fascinate you, involving you completely.
