A great evening with the living icon of British Blues Norman Beaker, one of only eight English artists to have been inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame as a “Legendary Blues Artist from England” together with Jack Bruce, Peter Green, Mick Jagger, John Mayall, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton, and one of the very first musicians to have consecrated the blues from across the Channel together with Alexis Korner and Graham Bond.
Beaker has performed and recorded with some of the greatest musicians of all time including Graham Bond, Jack Bruce, Chuck Berry, Jimmy Rogers, Alexis Korner, Buddy Guy, Lowell Fulson, Fenton Robinson and BB King. Beaker toured regularly with Chris Farlowe, Larry Garner and Van Morrison. Norman contributed session guitarist to many recordings including Jack Bruce, Lowell Fulson, James Booker and Van Morrison. In 2022 Beaker published his autobiography, entitled “Manchester Evening Blues”.
An evening full of stories, anecdotes and great live music awaits us.
Accompanying him on stage will be Mike Sponza, one of the greatest Italian blues guitarists, now a sort of national blues guru, Roby Maffioli on bass and Moreno Buttinar on drums.
