Nikki Hill (USA)
(ONLY DATE IN ITALY)
In her early twenties, the singer from North Carolina is climbing the heights of the music scene and the charts with her band.
Every one of her concerts is a success: it is said that attending one of her performances is like receiving whiplash, and that it is difficult to forget her.
After the sensation created with her first EP in 2012, she is becoming popular all over the world with her new CD, “Here's Nikki Hill”, which responds to the great demand of her fans.
Thanks to her unfiltered energy she has earned the evocative nickname “Southern Firebal”. His rigorous vocal style and energetic performances bring us all the flavors of the American musical tradition; defined as "Roots Rock'n'Roller", Nikki recalls the great blues exponents of previous decades but stands out for her modernity. In her we see artists like Amy Winehouse or Imelda May.
Nikki Hill is what the rock'n'roll world has been waiting for for a long time.
Coco Montoya (USA)
(ONLY DATE IN ITALY)
The career of Coco Montoya begins in the mid-1970s, when Albert Collins asks him to join his band as drummer. Collins takes Montoya under his wing and teaches him his “hot and ice” guitar style.
In the early 1980s John Mayall, hearing him playing guitar in a Los Angeles bar, asked him to join the recently reformed Bluesbreakers, where Montoya remained for 10 years.
In 1993, after three albums with the Bluesbreakers, Coco decided that the time had come to put the lessons of her two mentors to good use and begin her solo career. He signed an agreement with Blind Pig Records and released three acclaimed works: “Gotta Mind To Travel”, “Ya Think I'd Know Better” and J ”ust Let Go”, with which he was named Best New Blue Artist at Blues Music Awards of 1996.
In 2000 he took his music to a higher level, signing an agreement with Alligator Records, one of the most famous American blues labels, and in the following seven years he created exceptional works: “Suspicion”, “Can't Look Back”, and “Dirty Deal” from 2007.
In 2009 he signed with the renamed German blues label Ruf Records which is ready to launch Coco Montoya worldwide. “I Want It All Back” (2010) is the first step.
In 2014 a new work entitled "Song from the road" was released, a double live album that makes us understand the intensity and skill of this great artist who manages to excite everyone who listens to him with every note.
Coco says: “This is an exciting journey, to my fans I can only say come and listen to me. The guitar is always with me but it is not the only voice I have, listen to me as an artist who is growing and grow with me”.
