When Meena Cryle sings “My mother told me every day I should be strong” at the opening of her concerts, it is clear that she took the words of the song seriously… Dice: “when something in my life moves me and inspires me, I sit down with my guitar and immediately try to turn it into a song”… All these emotions are transferred into music in an extraordinarily mature way, both on stage and on the latest album “Feel me” just released for the prestigious label Ruf Records. Meena’s artistic world is very broad and eclectic, but always very rooted in the blues: this is evident in her songwriting, an indispensable element of her musical identity. A large part of her repertoire is composed of Meena and her congenial partner, Chris Fillmore: a superb guitarist who plays a fundamental role, not only as a member of the band, but also as a creative support of the entire project. Cryle/Fillmore: a rare team to find in the modern blues scene. They have just returned from a fabulous tour in the USA, and arrive at Pordenone in the first exclusive Italian date of their career.
