Matthew Lee, one of the most interesting artists of the current rock'n'roll/blues scene, charismatic performer, composer, singer and pianist with extraordinary virtuosity, will be the protagonist of the Opening night of the 30th Pordenone Blues Festival. Free entry.
Matthew represents the pride of the rock'n'roll and swing spirit, as well as of the Italian songwriting inspired by the world of the '50s stars and stripes which finds its space between the virtuosity of Liberace, the rock soul of Jerry Lee Lewis, the style of Ray Charles, the feeling of Frank Sinatra, the universality of Elvis Presley and the acrobatic pianism of Renato Carosone. In his career he has held over 1.200 concerts in festivals, squares and theaters all over the world and 7 albums published (the last of which, Rock & Love, released for Decca/Universal in 2020). A television guest several times on the national Rai and Mediaset networks, Matthew has been appreciated for his performances and shows of the highest level, capable of inflaming audiences even in just a handful of minutes.
Matthew will be there alongside him Gennaro Porcelli, well-known blues guitarist who plays in Edoardo Bennato's band and in various other formations.
Before him he will go on stage Giulio Masieri with “Inferno Blues”, an original project created specifically for the Pordenone Blues & Co Festival. Masieri, with a performance between painting, music and theatre, will cross the Inferno of Dante's Divine Comedy to arrive at the famous legend that tells that Robert Johnson, a blues guitarist from the early 1900s, had made a pact with the Devil, selling his soul in exchange for the ability to play the guitar like no other. Born in Ferrara, adopted by Pordenone, Giulio Masieri began working as a decorator, immediately receiving international acclaim and commissions. Tokyo, Moscow, Paris, London, Aqbar are just some of the places where he worked for clients such as the Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. In the wake of experimentation, Masieri reached his most interesting artistic destination: Musical Art.

No Green pass or swab is required to access the concert area. The concert will take place in compliance with the anti-Covid regulations in force, outdoors, with assigned and spaced seats.
