Thursday September 3st the stage in Piazza XX Settembre will welcome one of the most interesting artists on the current music scene, JP Bimeni, live at Pordenone Blues Festival for its only date in Italy.
Descended from the Burundian royal family, JP Bimeni fled the civil war and three attacks at 15 years old to take refuge in the United Kingdom. His songs talk about love and loss, hope and fear, with the typical awareness of lives put to the test countless times.
Deep soul to the nth degree, with a voice reminiscent of the first Otis Redding, Bimeni knows how to surprise the listener thanks to the incredible depth of his vocal range in a succession of funk jams and deep and heartfelt ballads coming from southern soul.
