II International Blues Music Day
An event entirely dedicated to music and the environment that surrounds it.
They will be the protagonists training conducted by musicians of international level, the music schools and activities that revolve around the world of music, such as recording studios, rehearsal rooms, video producers, record labels, tour managers, service facilities for musicians, luthiers.
International Music Day was created to give an opportunity to both professional musicians and beginners and enthusiasts to find solutions and valid alternatives to facilitate their journey in the musical environment.

A Clinic that traces the history of R'n'R/Rockabilly, from the original to the contemporary sound, a full immersion in the style of the great masters, Chet Atkins, Les Paul, Scotty Moore, Cliff Gallup, Eddie Cochran, Jimmy Bryant, Paul Burlison, from early Fingerstyle to Country-Jazz, Western Swing, Hillbilly, Country, Rockabilly, R'n'R and much more. A journey that will allow us to retrace the fundamental stages of these genres, through historical notes, basic and advanced techniques, differences in playing, sound, effects, chords, arrangements in various styles... all conducted by Marco Di Maggio, the Italian guitarist elected honorary member of the American Rockabilly Hall of Fame, accompanied and assisted by Matteo Giannetti e Marco Barsanti, double bass player and drummer of Di Maggio Connection, who will delve into the various themes inherent to techniques, styles and sounds typical of Rockabilly, Country, Swing and R'n'R. Everything will be enriched by the consultancy of Gianluca La Boria by Glb Sound, a sound engineer and craftsman expert in cabinet construction and design.

Use and development of the trumpet in the Big Band section
The course is held Gastone Bortoloso, trumpeter, arranger, band-leader, graduated in Trumpet from the “FE Dall'Abaco” Conservatory of Verona and in Jazz Music from the State Conservatory of Music of Trento under the guidance of Maestro Franco D'Andrea. He has worked as first trumpet and soloist in important ensembles in Italy and abroad. He has collaborated with numerous musicians including Carla Blay, Steve Swallow, John Warren, John Surman, Cecil Bridgewater, Michael Abene, and has carried out an intense concert activity. He was a trumpet teacher at the “Dizzy Gillespie” Popular School of Jazz Music in Bassano del Grappa and currently teaches at the “G. Gershwin” of Padua and the “Thelonious” School of Music of Vicenza, dedicating themselves, in particular, to teaching improvisation, pronunciation and breathing techniques useful for mastering the instrument in the use of lip flexibility.
Master Classes: Mutes: Effects and Notation
- Description of the mutes: models, materials, shapes.
- Criteria for choice and use: styles, interpretation, textures of use.
- Positioning of the mutes in the bell of the instrument: adjustment of corks, relationship with intonation.
- Breath release and control: analysis of problems relating to the emission and control of breath during prolonged execution.
- Use and development of the trumpet section in the Big Band: presentation of the treatise and historical notes on the evolution of the instrument in history, from a technical and physical point of view.
- Practical playing exercises in Muted Trumpet: cup mute, straight mute, harmon mute, wha/wha mute.

Blues in your pocket – Harmonica course
Also called "pocket piano", the diatonic harmonica is a small instrument that can fit comfortably in your pocket. Its plaintive sound embodies exactly the spirit of the Blues and this is why it has found its perfect place in this musical genre. In this stage, through examples and technical explanations, the story of this small/large instrument in blues music from its beginnings will be told, from when it imitated the train in the early 20s to the electric blues of today. Participants are advised to bring a C harmonica. By Gianni Massarutto, for more than twenty years one of the undisputed protagonists of the harmonica in the field of electric and acoustic blues. He has had many professional collaborations and numerous awards won. In January 2014 he represented Italy together with Marco Naffis at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. During the internship he will be accompanied and supported by Andrea Fiore, historic guitarist, singer and harmonica player from Pordenone.
