What makes the live of the Earth, Wind & Fire Experience A unique event in the world is the incredible caliber of its musicians: a collective of virtuosos who have written the history of pop, funk, and jazz worldwide. The band was created and forged by the legendary guitarist Al McKay, winner of a Grammy Award e multi-platinum, whose imprints are embedded in the DNA of modern music.
McKay, a key member of Earth, Wind & Fire in their golden age (1973-1981), co-wrote immortal anthems such as “September"and "Sing a Song“His unmistakable rhythm guitar defined a generation and continues to influence musicians around the world.
Today, he formally handed over the management of the Experience to the lead singer Tim Owens, under the musical direction of Ben Dowling, ensuring that the band's future remains rooted in authenticity.
The absolute value of this group is demonstrated by its presence on the most prestigious stages on the planet, enchanting audiences in true temples of music such as the Montreux Jazz Festival and Umbria Jazz.
On the stage of Pordenone The Blues & Co. Festival will feature a truly talented band; artists who have collaborated with the biggest names on the planet and were once members of the historic Earth, Wind & Fire, guaranteeing unparalleled sonic fidelity.
There will be a brass and rhythm section made up of musicians from the tours and recordings of Beyoncé, Kanye West, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg and Usher; voices and harmonies, singers who have shared the stage with Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Rod Stewart and Barry White.
Among the musicians who will perform on the stage of the Pordenone Blues & Co. Festival: Shaunte Palmer (trombone), already with Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Drake; Tim Owens (vocals), collaborator of Michael Jackson and Rod Stewart; David Leach (percussion), who played for Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind & Fire themselves; Chris Gray (trumpet), fresh from the stages of Beyoncé and Stevie Wonder.
When Earth, Wind & Fire stopped in the 80s, Al McKay ensured the music never stopped breathing. He formed the Al McKay Allstars, bringing together original members and elite touring musicians to continue performing the catalog with integrity, excellence, and joy. From that lineage, the EWF Experience was born, carrying forward not only the songs, but also the energy, spirituality, and collective magic that made the music timeless.
The evening will be opened by 70's Disco Party, presented by Pordenone Blues & Co. Festival in collaboration with Over30, with MisterNik DJ.
