Considered one of the greatest harmonica players country blues in the world, Charlie Musselwhite is living proof that great music gets better with age.
Since the early 60s, Musselwhite has continued to create innovative music while remaining firmly rooted in the roots of the blues.
In addition to having recorded around thirty albums, Charlie appears as a guest on many albums by great artists such as Cat Stevens, Eddie Vedder, Tom Waits, Ben Harper, Bonnie Raitt, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Gov't Mule, INXS, Mickey Hart, George Thorogood and Cyndi Lauper.
Charlie has garnered worldwide attention for his harmonica playing, as evidenced by his numerous awards: 33 Blues Music Awards, 11 Grammy nominations, including a 2014 Grammy Win for Best Blues Album with Ben Harper: Get Up.
In 2010 it was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame. His participation in documentaries and films such as: “Blues Brothers 2000”, “Pig Hunt”, “Take me to the river”, “Born in Chicago”, “Sam Lay in Bluesland”, “Sweet Blues” (Mike Bloomfield).
At 73, he is considered one of the last living legends of American country blues.
