Trumpeter Boney Fields began his career in Chicago in '79, playing in clubs with funk and jazz groups. After two years Jimmy Johnson called him to play with him for the entire American tour. In 1983 BF moved to Los Angeles where he began playing with Smokey Wilson and Albert Collins. In 1985 he joined the band of the great James Cotton, with whom he recorded two albums. Bonney Field was now successful and played with some of the most famous musicians in the world including Buddy Guy, Juniors Wells, AC Reed, Eddie Clearwater, Valerie Wellington. In 1990 he joined the Kenny Neal Blues Band, recording two albums with a prestigious wind section, which also included Maceo Parker and Fred Wesley. He accompanied musicians such as Georges Clinton and Bootsy Collins with his trumpet. He moved to Paris, called by Luther Allison. There BF had the opportunity to collaborate with Alpha Blondy, Jimmy Jonson and many others. It is from the versatility of his experiences that a personal vision of the blues is born, mixing it with funk, world music, rock, rhythm and blues, jazz.
