One of the true legends of world blues, guitarist of the legendary Muddy Waters, award-winning artist, true institution of white blues.
From the 1973 to the 1980 Bob Margolin he was at Muddy's side, learning the secrets of the deepest blues directly from him. Together the two produced albums that have become historic and very important for generations of musicians.
His career alongside Muddy Waters culminated in his participation in the film "The Last Waltz" by Martin Scorsese in 1976, and in recent years Bob Margolin has stood out for an intense solo artistic activity which has seen him alongside music icons worldwide, such as Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Allman Brothers and Rolling Stones and to now legendary blues artists such as Pinetop Perkins and Hubert Sumlin.
In 2011 a new collaboration began between Bob Margolin and the Italian bluesman Mike Sponza: the two gave life to a very successful artistic partnership which within a year resulted in 3 European tours, with "sold out" concerts in France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia and Austria.
A success amply demonstrated by a copious press review, so much so that Bob decided, almost on the spot, to record together with the Mike Sponza Band - an Italian band! – the album “Blues around the world”, published in the United States by the Vizztone Record label, released in March 2012. An album that American magazines in the sector have reviewed as “the strongest album” of Margolin's solo career. Which within a few weeks had already firmly positioned itself in 10th place in the US blues charts.
